Support for Ukrainian Students

Cтуденти, навчання яких обірвалося в Україні, можуть продовжити навчання у Литві. У Литві можна навчатися англійською та російською мовами. Навчальні програми та вищі школи можна знайти: www.studyin.lt.

Щодо плати за навчання: Залежно від можливостей вищих навчальних закладів надаватиметься підтримка громадянам України. Деякі вищі навчальні заклади Литви планують звільнити студентів з України від плати за навчання або зробити суттєві знижки на плату за навчання. Навчальний заклад, який ви виберете, надає інформацію про умови та суму знижки за навчання.

Щодо заліку предметів навчання, що припинилося, як за наявності документів, так і без документів: Залік предметів можливий як за наявності документів, так і без них. Докладнішу інформацію можна отримати у конкретному вищому навчальному закладі для кожного індивідуального випадку.

У Литві навчання починається з 1 вересня, тому можливість розпочати навчання з першого курсу буде восени, до цього часу необхідно звернутися до обраного вищого навчального закладу (актуальні посилання див. вище).

Щодо необхідних документів: наявність атестата про закінчення середньої школи полегшує вступ до вищих навчальних закладів. Але навіть у тому випадку, коли людина закінчила середню школу за межами Литви, але не має документів, ніщо не заважає їй здобути вищу освіту в Литві. Якщо ви здобули середню освіту за кордоном (наприклад, в Україні, то Атестат про повну загальну середню освіту або Свідоцтво про здобуття повної загальної середньої освіти), однак, якщо документи, що підтверджують, відсутні, то передбачена спеціальна процедура визнання. Визнання може бути зроблено вищим навчальним закладом, який має таке право, або Центром оцінки якості навчання (SKVC). Список вищих навчальних закладів, які мають право на визнання, наведено тут:

Перелік державних закладів вищої освіти, які мають право на державне фінансування для часткового покриття вартості навчання громадян України, які вступають на місця навчання для здобуття ступеня бакалавра та магістра, що не фінансуються державою, у 2023 році.

Планується, що порядок прийому до вищих навчальних закладів буде орієнтований на громадян України, які втекли від війни, розпочатої Росією в Україні, пріоритет надаватиметься українцям – випускникам шкіл, які отримали атестат зрілості в Литві.

Навчальні місця, що співфінансуються державою, місця будуть виділені вищим навчальним закладам, перелік яких буде затверджено наказом міністра. Громадяни України, кандидати на безкоштовні навчальні місця, які здобули середню освіту в Литві, повинні мати атестат зрілості та скласти два державні іспити  або на атестат зрілості, а також скласти вступний тест, організований Міністерством освіти і науки України, оцінка якого не повинна бути нижчою за встановленого значення. Особи, які здобули середню освіту в Україні, повинні мати атестат про середню освіту та скласти вступний тест, організований Міністерством освіти і науки України, оцінка якого не повинна бути нижчою за встановлене значення. Громадяни України, які прагнуть отримати державну підтримку для навчання у Литві, мають відповідати встановленим вимогам. Прийом осіб, які відповідають мінімальним вимогам, здійснюватиметься у порядку, затвердженому ВНЗ, їх конкурсний бал розраховуватиметься згідно з структурою балу, наданою конкретним ВНЗ, з якою можна ознайомитись на сайті відповідних вищих навчальних закладів. Уповноважений міністром освіти, науки та спорту орган LAMA BPO перевірить наявність у заявників тимчасового захисту, наданого Литовською Республікою, дозволу на тимчасове проживання в Литві, а також відповідність мінімальним вимогам. Особи, які не відповідають мінімальним вимогам, не зможуть претендувати на навчальні місця, які співфінансуються державою.   Громадяни України, які прагнуть отримати державну підтримку, можуть звертатися безпосередньо до одного або кількох вищих навчальних закладів та брати участь у оголошених ними конкурсах.

Students whose studies have been interrupted in Ukraine can continue their studies in Lithuania. In Lithuania, you can study in English and Russian. Study programmes and higher education institutions can be found at www.studyin.lt.

On tuition fees: Depending on the capacity of higher education institutions, studies by Ukrainian nationals will be (partially) supported. Some Lithuanian higher education institutions plan to exempt Ukrainian students from tuition fees or provide significant tuition fee discounts. The amount and conditions of the support will be communicated by the selected higher education institution.

Crediting of study subjects due to interrupted studies is available for both documented and undocumented students. More detailed information will be available from the higher education institution on a case-by-case basis.

State universities are funded by the state budget. Private universities support studies at their own expense.

Lithuanian National Union of Students invites you to register for the mentoring program. You will be assigned a mentor who is studying at the same higher education institution.
He can provide you with social and academic information and share experiences about student activities and leisure opportunities.
This could be your helper and new friend! All you have to do is fill out the registration form and a mentor will contact you.

In Lithuania, studies start on 1 September, so you will have the opportunity to start your studies from the first year in the autumn, but you need to apply to the higher education institution of your choice in advance (see above for relevant links).

Regarding the necessary documents: available secondary education documents makes admission smoother. But even if you have completed secondary school outside Lithuania but do not have any supporting documents, you are not prevented from pursuing higher education in Lithuania. If you have completed secondary education abroad (e.g. have acquired a certificate of general secondary education in Ukraine Атeстат прo повну загальну серeдню освiту or Свідоцтво про здобуття повної загальної середньої освіти), but no supporting documents are available, there is a special recognition procedure. Recognition can be carried out either by the higher education institution of your choice or by the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC). It is expected that the procedure for admission to higher education institutions will focus on the Ukrainian citizens who have fled the war started in Ukraine by russia, the priority will be given to Ukrainian high school graduates who have obtained their matriculation certificates in Lithuania.

State co-financed study places will be allocated to higher education institutions, the list of which will be approved by the ministerial order. Citizens of Ukraine, who are applying for free study places, and who have obtained the secondary education in Lithuania, must have a matriculation certificate and two passed state matriculation exams, or a high school diploma and a passed entrance exam, which is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the grade of which must not be lower than the set limit. Ukrainian citizens seeking state support to study in Lithuania must meet the established requirements. The admission of candidates who meet the minimum requirements will be carried out according to the procedure approved by higher education institutions, their competitive score will be calculated according to the score structure provided by the specific higher education institution, which you can find on the websites of relevant higher education institutions. LAMA BPO, the institution authorized by the Minister of Education, Science and Sports, will check whether the applicants have the temporary protection granted by the Republic of Lithuania and a temporary residence permit in Lithuania, as well as compliance with the minimum requirements. Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be able to apply for study places co-financed by the state. Citizens of Ukraine who are seeking state support can apply directly to one or more higher education institutions and participate in competitions announced by them.
