MRU awarded a ECTS Label

Yesterday Education and Science Minister Prof. Dainius Pavalkis presented the European Commission’s ECTS Label badge to MRU Rector Prof. Alvydas Pumputis, as MRU joined the ranks of only 64 other institutions with such recognition. The festive ceremony took place at the Seimas during a confererence, „Europe’s Citizen.” „This Label is a sign of recognition of an institution that fosters internationality,” said the Education Exchange Support Foundation’s Director Daiva Šutinytė. Lithuanian institutions among most international universities in Europe

After the announcement of Erasmus international students and staff’s exchange statistics for 2010-2011, it turned out that six Lithuanian universities are among 100 of the most international Universities in Europe. Two institutions of Higher Education in Lithuania – Lithuanian Sports University (LSU) and Alytus College (AK) has set their minds to develop their bases in Druskininkai (Lithuania). Nigerian Student Fulfills Childhood Dream in MRU

June 25th, after 4 years of studies at MRU, Nigerian student Omotayo Fayemiwo graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. He says now that he finally fulfilled his childhood dream to study abroad. Omotayo is the 1st Nigerian student to graduate from a Bachelor’s Degree programme at MRU. “It was my childhood dream to study abroad and now I complete my dream and I am quite happy about that,” Omotayo said just days before his graduation.
