General description: The study programme of Photography aims to promote individual humanistic orientation, aesthetic perception, critical and creative thinking, social activity, freedom of communication and responsibility, develop the professional skills of a photography specialist based on traditional, alternative, and digital photography and innovations of professional activity in the various fields of application of the art of photography, and enhance the abilities necessary for organising photographer’s activities considering the changes in the environment and perceiving the importance of lifelong learning.

Future Career

Graduates are be able to work individually as freelance photographers; set up a company and create jobs in their professional field of activity; work in a team in photo service companies, media, fashion or advertising agencies, galleries, cinematographic or videography studios, museums; set up a photography business; develop and expand creative and project activities.

Access to further study. The graduates are entitled to a credit transfer system for entering level one university study programmes, they can choose Master’s degree programmes. The continuation of studies is possible in the higher education institutions in Lithuania or in other countries.

Admission Requirements

Documents to be submitted

  1. Official notarized documents (minimum 50% GPA) of a high school diploma (and university diploma, if any), including an academic transcript.
  2. Documents must meet country-specific requirements.
  3. Copy of a passport or an ID card.
  4. Motivational letter.
  5. At least 1 reference.
  6. An English language proficiency certificate (IELTS, TOEFL, EnglishScore or PTE) is required. Minimum scores: IELTS ≥5.5, TOEFL ≥75, EnglishScore ≥400 (CoreSkills), PTE ≥59. If applicants do not have such proof, they may take an English language test carried out by Kauno kolegija Higher Education Institution (B2 level required) for a fee of 45 EUR. The test is available only during the admission period. Note: A Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter is not accepted as proof of English proficiency.
  7. The portfolio (a collection of works) is a mandatory component of the competitive score for applicants to the Photography and Fashion Design study programmes.

All official documents must be presented in either English or the Lithuanian language. Verification from a notary is required for the English and Lithuanian translations of all written documents.

The application will not be considered if some of the required documents are missing.
