Programme overview
The aim of the study programme is to provide higher collegial education in the field of social work, corresponding to European standards, by preparing a specialist capable of taking care of the spiritual health and social well-being of individuals (especially surviving existential difficulties), based on Christian values.

Access to professional activity or further study
The acquired vocational bachelor’s degree in social sciences gives the right to work in health, care and education institutions, parish centers, religious organizations, non-government organizations.
Access to further study: Studies can be continued in university bachelor’s programs: Social Work, Psychology, Religious Pedagogy and Master’s Degree Programs: Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies. The graduates of first level college studies will be able to continue their studies on the basis of the second level of social sciences study programs.

Study modules: Introduction to professional studies; Social responsibility; Information management and scientific research; Professional activities and ethics; Management of social relations; Recognition of a person; Organization of pastoral care; Voluntary social work; Practice in pastoral care I; Practice in pastoral care II; Practice in pastoral care III; Final thesis in pastoral care.
Module elements (study subjects): Foreign language; Introduction to studies; Management of information and social projects; Social-pastoral integration; Basics of social work; Developmental psychology; Methods of social work; Social psychology; Practical knowledge of the Bible; Christian social security; Social welfare programs; Pastoral consultancy;The nature and development of love; Preparation of final thesis.
Elective module elements (study subjects): Social work with elderly people; Social work with children and youth; Social work with disabled people; Social work with people in risk groups; Christian palliative aid; Charitable voluntary activities.
Professional practice: Practice in pastoral care I; Practice in pastoral care II; Practice in pastoral care III.
Exchange studies: Possibility to take part in Erasmus+ exchange programme for studies and internships and get monthly scholarships of 300 – 700 Eur.

Minimal education of the applicant: Secondary

- Must have a certificate of maturity (Diploma and supplement)
- Must have a B2 English language level certificate
- Must have a GPA of 5 = Sufficient (40–49%) or CGPA of no less than 40% to be eligible for studies
- Must have a police clearance certificate
- Must be able to come to Lithuania in person for studies
- Must have enough resources to support oneself
- Related work, volunteering experience or additional achievements are considered to be a big advantage
