Programme overview
As the construction sector moves toward climate responsibility, energy-efficient buildings are becoming essential for sustainable cities and communities. The Sustainable and Energy Efficient Buildings study programme at KTU prepares you to design, model, and manage buildings that reduce energy use, integrate renewable energy, and create healthy indoor environments. You will explore building energy demand, intelligent engineering systems, sustainable water management, and building life-cycle solutions through practical and research-based learning. Students learn in renewed laboratories, computer classrooms, virtual reality spaces, and a living lab-type environment, with opportunities to join exchange programmes, ECIU activities, and internships abroad. Graduates are ready to pursue careers in green building design, energy performance assessment, sustainable building consulting, or continue their academic journey in civil engineering research.
