As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms industries and becomes essential to addressing global technological challenges, demand for specialists who develop advanced intelligent systems continues to rise. The Artificial Intelligence in Computer Science master’s programme at KTU equips students to create cutting-edge solutions in areas such as computer vision, speech recognition, semantic analysis, and data generation, and to apply their expertise in research, business, and IT innovation. The programme is strengthened by international research engagement, state-of-the-art infrastructure including a High-Performance Computing (HPC) system, modern collaborative laboratories, and partnerships with industry experts who contribute through real-world projects and guest lectures. Graduates can pursue careers in intelligent systems design, artificial intelligence development, or IT research, or continue their academic journey through advanced study and scientific research roles.

Programme Structure
The Artificial Intelligence in Computer Science study programme covers advanced topics in artificial intelligence, enabling students to develop and research intelligent systems at a high scientific and practical level. The programme develops:
- soft skills in analytical thinking, teamwork, and the ability to conduct independent scientific research;
- expertise in designing AI models, developing intelligent systems, and applying state-of-the-art deep learning and optimisation methods;
- hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as HPC infrastructure and research-oriented modelling and data-processing systems;
- practical research experience through applied projects carried out in collaboration with business partners.
Admission requirements
Funding opportunities
All international students automatically become candidates to receive the Scholarship for International Students, which is assigned for first-year Bachelor or Master students with strong academic records and motivation.
The residents of European Union countries and the global citizens of Lithuanian origin can apply for state-funded study places. This means that all the applicants, who fall into one of the aforementioned categories, will participate in the general admission’s competition for state-funded study places and get the chance to study free of charge, depending on their admission score.

Campus life
The main KTU Campus is within walking distance from the city centre. In the campus, university sports halls and courts, dormitories, shops and recreational areas are all nearby. KTU boasts the active student community, with 6 art societies and over 20 students’ organisations. Our students can choose from 100 weekly sports classes, and join one of 20 sports teams. All of this is free of charge.
Over 40 thousand students study in Kaunas, and of these, around 10% are international students. Lush parks, lively squares, cosy cafes and buzzing cultural life make Kaunas attractive not only as a travel destination but also as a place to live.
