Media Technologies studies provide a solid foundation for working with modern tools involving video, audio, and digital content. Throughout your studies, you will explore and learn to use a wide range of technologies: no-code programming, 3D graphics and animation, filming and video editing, working with content management systems, game development, and more.
From creating websites with WordPress to developing mobile applications without writing code, from detailed video editing to creating ads for social networks like Instagram or TikTok – this broad learning field will give you the opportunity to gain in-depth, practical knowledge and express your creativity over the course of three years. Many professionals in this field seek such knowledge through endless online courses, YouTube tutorials, or by reaching out to experienced experts. In this program, those very experts will be standing in front of you during lectures, sharing not textbook theories but real-life experience gained while working with clients. Most of our lecturers are active professionals who stay in tune with market trends and continuously test the latest technological advancements.
To ensure that your knowledge brings added value, helps you establish yourself in the job market, and achieve your dreams, the program also develops essential soft and professional skills such as entrepreneurship, teamwork, goal-setting, and strategic planning. You’ll benefit from specially tailored courses such as English for the profession, integrated business studies, legal basics, and project management.
You’ll connect and reinforce your knowledge through progressive teaching methods applied at Vilnius Business College: interdisciplinary learning, project-based learning (where you and your team will carry out projects from start to finish), and of course, internships.
Programme structure
Throughout your studies, you will gain a wide range of knowledge that will allow you to try out different roles and discover the specific area where your skills shine the most. Interactive media creator (designer), media product/project manager, multimedia/web systems designer, video/audio editor, web developer, UX designer – these are just some of the possible career paths. You can work in advertising, marketing, or design agencies, traditional and digital publishing, telecommunications, public communications, media organizations, game development companies, and more. Whether you prefer working in an office, from home, or while living anywhere in the world – this modern profession supports the diverse lifestyle choices of the 21st century.
Admission Requirements
- Certificate of secondary education or diploma translated into English. The cumulative grade point average of your secondary school results, including final exams, must be no lower than 60%. The grade point average from Mathematics, IT and Economics/Geography/History must be at least 70%. Please note that all previous education certificates/diplomas must be officially recognized by the Center for Quality Assurance of Higher Education of Lithuania (www.skvc.lt ).
- English language requirements: B2 or higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Applicants may choose one of these methods to prove their level:

Students who do not meet the minimal English language level requirement can still be admitted to VBC but will have to complete one semester of the Academic English Preparatory Programme On line before arrival to Lithuania.
- Admission Interview. All applicants must complete the admission interview with a VBC admissions officer.
- Applicants who have participated in various Academic Olympiads or taken additional professional development courses can provide certificates of achievement to obtain extra admission points.
