Programme overview
The goal of the master’s degree program in Illustration and Contexts is to create conditions and practices for professionals who have completed bachelor’s art studies, to find, improve, and experiment in their unique stylistics, in pursuit of the path of a professional illustrator/creator. In master’s studies, an illustrator-creator is perceived as a painter (artist), whose visual expression, marketing strategies and communication are based on “illustrative” thinking. Special attention is paid to author’s stylistics and technologies in master’s studies. Connections of different media in technical solutions of illustrations and the Internet as one of the main spaces of dissemination of illustrations are priorities of the program. “Illustrativeness” (or interpretation of images) is understood during studies in various contexts – art, business, education or society. In his research, the master’s student can delve into issues related to the specifics of the future work of a freelance illustrator/creator (artist), a hired illustrator/creator, or an illustrator/creator.
