Programme overview
The study program “Cybersecurity Technologies” prepares IT specialists who are able to ensure the digital security of organizations and manage cyber incidents. The program focuses on practical skills – from programming, network and data protection to the application of advanced security technologies. Graduates will gain knowledge about artificial intelligence, system modeling, cryptography, and the application of legal and ethical principles. Great attention is paid to teamwork, project management, and interdisciplinary communication. This is a program that creates high added value for business, meeting the needs of the modern IT market.
The Programme aims to prepare qualified cybersecurity specialists capable of developing and deploying secure software, finding new ways to use computer systems and effective data and information processing solutions to protect organizations’ data and digital assets from cyber threats, applying artificial intelligence solutions, cloud computing platforms, and data analysis tools.
Graduates of the study program will be able to work in business enterprises, state institutions, banks, telecommunications companies, educational or healthcare institutions, the defense sector, or companies providing cybersecurity services.
Graduates will also be able to develop a career independently, providing IT security consulting or technology implementation services. They can hold positions as IT security specialists, cybersecurity analysts, or security systems administrators, as well as become IT or cybersecurity project managers, coordinating the activities of teams in implementing security solutions.
Graduates will be able to apply knowledge in developing and maintaining secure IT systems, identify threats, carry out prevention and respond to security breaches. They will also be able to work in a team to implement information security projects, consult on security issues and contribute to strengthening the resilience of organizations’ information systems . Graduates of the study program will also be able to successfully find employment in companies in other business sectors .

Admission Requirements
- Certificate of secondary education or diploma translated into English. The cumulative grade point average of your secondary school results, including final exams, must be no lower than 60%. The grade point average from Mathematics, IT and Economics/Geography/History must be at least 70%. Please note that all previous education certificates/diplomas must be officially recognized by the Center for Quality Assurance of Higher Education of Lithuania (www.skvc.lt ).
- English language requirements: B2 or higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Applicants may choose one of these methods to prove their level:

Students who do not meet the minimal English language level requirement can still be admitted to VBC but will have to complete one semester of the Academic English Preparatory Programme On line before arrival to Lithuania.
- Admission Interview. All applicants must complete the admission interview with a VBC admissions officer.
- Applicants who have participated in various Academic Olympiads or taken additional professional development courses can provide certificates of achievement to obtain extra admission points.
