Programme overview
In this master’s degree program, you will become a highly qualified biotechnology specialist with knowledge of biotechnology and pharmaceutical analysis. Here you will study various analysis methods, get acquainted with genetic engineering, quality control of pharmaceutical preparations and food, learn to prepare samples and raw materials, and perform molecular laboratory diagnostics. In addition, you will be able to deepen your knowledge in optional subjects that interest you: from food technology to the perspectives of the application of natural products in pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. This knowledge will allow you to pursue a career in the fields of industrial drug production, biotechnology, diagnostics, and engage in scientific and experimental activities. You will also be able to continue your doctoral studies.
Career opportunities
Graduates will be able to work in the private and public business sectors, which are engaged in industrial pharmaceutical production activities or biotechnology, diagnostic, scientific, experimental activities. Typical areas of employment for graduates: industrial companies, research, quality control, training and lifelong learning, quality assurance, administration and management; to continue doctoral studies at Lithuanian and foreign universities.

Admission Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biophysics, Pharmacy, or other equivalent field of science.
Minimum 60% CGPA
Admission score is counted based on:
Arithmetic average of bachelor degree diploma supplement all subjects * 0,4 + English grade * 0,3 + Motivation letter * 0,3.
Minimum admission score to qualify: 5,4.
