German Philology

The programme offers the students solid written and spoken communication skills for workplace success in German (C1–C2), fundamentals in German linguistics, literature, and culture of the German-speaking countries.

The curriculum includes a diverse range of course units designed to help students to develop their:

  • Language skills;
  • advanced writing;
  • speaking and research skills;
  • analytical and critical thinking;
  • problem-solving and rhetorical skills;
  • gaining knowledge of culture and history, which will allow them to understand the complex modern world today.

English and Another Foreign Language (German)

The programme develops the student’s written and spoken communication skills in English (C1) and German (B2-C1) essential for a successful career. The curriculum includes a variety of courses aimed to help students develop their language skills as well as advanced skills in the fields of linguistic research and intercultural communication.

 

Why this programme?

  • The English and Another Foreign Language (German) programme is based on a student-centred approach. It is designed to foster the student’s learning motivation while developing his/her competencies necessary in order to meet the needs of social and personal development, both in the local and global labour market. It also helps a student to acquire the general and subject-specific competencies compatible with a Bachelor’s degree, which will prepare the student for further studies or work.
