In today’s rapidly changing world, short-term international learning opportunities are becoming increasingly important. Summer schools allow students to deepen their knowledge, explore new topics, and connect with people from different countries and academic fields. They create an intensive learning environment that encourages collaboration, creativity, and the exchange of ideas.
Responding to this need, Vytautas Magnus University is launching the renewed VMU Summer School. The initiative builds on the university’s earlier summer school tradition that existed before the COVID-19 pandemic and is now being revived to meet the growing demand for international and interdisciplinary short study opportunities.
The summer school is designed as an interdisciplinary learning platform, developed in close cooperation with different faculties of the university. By bringing together experts from various academic fields (humanities, arts, social, environmental and life sciences), the programme offers participants the opportunity to explore diverse perspectives and approaches while studying in an international environment.
The courses will take place on different dates throughout the summer, with the earliest courses starting on June 22 and the latest courses starting on July 20, and will be held in Kaunas and Vilnius. Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be awarded academic credits (ECTS) as well as official certificates of completion.
Participants will be able to choose from 10 courses covering a wide range of topics across culture, education, technology, natural sciences, arts, and global issues. The programme includes the following courses:
