The Migration Department under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania would like to inform about the changes related to applying for the temporary residency permit for international students coming to live in Lithuania.
Since May 6th, 2015, the international students coming to Lithuania to study in the higher education institutions need to submit a valid certificate, granted by a competent institution of their country, confirming that they were not incriminated in the country of their residency.
This certificate should be submitted along with the application for the temporary residency permit. This should be done before the foreign students come to live in Lithuania.
