Aim of the study programme
The study programme Multimedia and Visual Communication is aimed at training specialists capable of applying the technologies of 2D and 3D modelling, digital sound and video, animation, virtual reality, programming, layout and design of electronic publications; designing, creating and integrating multimedia products; working in the areas of information and communication technologies, advertising and design agencies, publishing and business companies.

Outcomes of the study programme
Knowledge and its application
Know the main laws, principles and concepts of informatics engineering and the principles of the basics of informatics engineering necessary to understand the fundamentals of this study area.
Apply the practical knowledge of informatics engineering about the properties of hardware and software of multimedia; principles of websites, sound, video, animation, electronic publications, design and development of computer games by analysing and solving qualitative and quantitative engineering tasks in the area of informatics engineering studies.
Abilities to carry out research
Be able to explore the demand of multimedia products, analyse competitive products and process the investigation data.
Be able to perform analysis of different resources of information on certain aspect and evaluate the reliability of the information and ethically quote.
Select the hardware, multimedia technologies and visual communication devices to create a multimedia product.
Design, create and improve websites, computer games and virtual reality products and install the multimedia elements (video, sound, text, graphics, 2D and 3D animation) into them.
Layout different types of electronic publications, create their design applying special publishing software.
Test and publish multimedia products in various environments.
Apply the skills of communication, interaction and cooperation in groups and teams; introduce the problems of informatics engineering in writing and orally in correct Lithuanian and at least one foreign language.
Organize and perform the company (department) activities, convey professional knowledge and take responsibility for the quality of own and subordinates’ work.
Be able to learn independently in the professional area, perceive the moral responsibility for the impact of the own activities and results on the society; sustain the corporate values by ensuring the personal and corporate image.
Graduates can work in graphic design and advertising agencies, information technologies companies creating websites and interactive media, designing and implementing multimedia products. The specialists of this area can work as multimedia designers, programmers, designers of the content of virtual reality, websites and multimedia; managers of e-commerce and internet marketing. Graduates will have opportunities to create their own businesses and provide the services of multimedia product development and design.
Degree granting requirements
Graduate’s knowledge, skills and abilities indicated in the description of the study programme are tested and assessed in public defence of a graduation thesis. A graduation thesis is an analytical project based on independent applied research. 12 ECTS are given for preparation and defence of a graduation thesis.

Note: Legalized and notarized English translations are required for all Education documents.
Documents needed after acceptance
- Bank statement about sufficient means of subsistence and the funds for return (subsistence means the amount of 0.5 minimum monthly salary for one month, the amount for return to the country of origin or a foreign country to which you have the right to travel, the amount of funds – 1 minimum monthly salary)
- Non conviction/Police Clearance certificate from the countries of residence in the last two years
- Health certificate – issued no longer than a month prior the date of application
