Programme overview
To prepare high-quality graduates with deep, comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge in mechatronics, including mechanical engineering, information technologies, mechatronic systems and mathematical modelling. To prepare specialists with analytical, modelling and projection skills in manufacturing and process management of mechatronic systems with their parameter optimisation, as well as specialists having mechatronic problem-solving skills applicable to research. To provide students with the knowledge which is required to accomplish not only the tasks of projecting, researching and performing technological-manufacturing jobs, but also the needful for executing the expert-consultative or supervisory functions in the mechatronic companies and organisations.
WHAT WILL STUDENTS LEARN?
- About the implementation of contemporary modern technologies in mechatronics and in the design of industrial equipment and robots.
- Critical, constructive and creative thinking, to analyse and evaluate mechatronic and/or robotic subjects based on qualitative, quantitative indicators, to formulate conclusions and to solve engineering problems, argued, clear and right to convey scientific information.
- To apply theoretical knowledge and research results for product creation and innovation implementation into the modern production process related to mechatronics and robotics.
- Understanding how to identify and analyse engineering and management problems, to propose innovative means for their solution.
- Understanding how to integrate engineering and management knowledge in the field of robotics and mechatronics to achieve expected results.
- To work with the modern high-tech equipment and apply the acquired knowledge in research.
What will I be able to do?
Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be able to:
- Conduct scientific research in mechatronic systems and technologies
- Identify and solve practical engineering problems, selecting suitable experimental tools and equipment
- Analyse the efficiency and reliability of mechatronic systems, detect faults, and design innovative improvement solutions
- Interpret theoretical and experimental results, evaluating their reliability and relevance
- Organise and lead research projects and manage mechatronics development teams.

Graduates are prepared for careers in:
- Manufacturing automation, including robot-assisted production lines, automated assembly, diagnostics, and system maintenance
- Pharmaceutical, food, and light industries, as well as other technology-driven sectors
