Programme overview
Are you ready to build a better future?
This interdisciplinary programme integrates the disciplines of design, management and environmental engineering, giving design professionals the knowledge and tools to not only visualise a more sustainable future, but also to implement practical solutions towards it.
The programme focuses on design that is equally concerned with the well-being of society and the environment, promoting transformative practices in line with the principles of the circular economy and sustainable transitions. In collaboration with leading international and local partners, the programme develops integrated design and sustainability competences to research and develop products, services and their systems for a sustainable future.
Thanks to the collaboration with Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and the strategic design agency The Critical (Lithuania), the programme offers a high level of academic and practical knowledge in design.
Students have the opportunity to develop design and research projects in state-of-the-art laboratories, including the D-Lab design lab at the KTU M-Lab Laboratory Centre and the Circular Economy Creative Space at KTU.
