Prerequisite Intensive Module in English

If your English test score is below the requirements of the BA program, we offer you an intensive English course.

Prerequisite Intensive Module in English (PRIME) is a part of the BA program. It is an additional module prior to being fully in BA courses.

PRIME is designed to help you improve academic English language skills and prepare for full BA studies.

Intensive English language preparatory course (A1 – B2)

This intensive course in academic English will help you prepare, and support you throughout, your university studies in English. the core components of the course focus on the skills required to function independently and effectively in a university environment and explore in depth the academic language needed to practice the study skills.
Group of 5-7 students.
A1 – B2 levels. Each level is finalised with an exam. 2 levels per semester may be achieved.

Advantages: English language certificate; B2 holders are eligible to be enrolled for degree programmes without IELTS/TOEFL.

English Language Minor Studies

English Language Minor studies are designed for those who are willing to enter Bachelor study programme at Mykolas Romeris University but do not have sufficient English language knowledge necessary for studying in a foreign language.

During the Minor studies groups are focusing on English language grammar, speaking, writing and reading skills improvement.

Academic English Preparatory Programme

For students whose English language level is below the required to get admission to the BA programme, we offer the possibility to attend a semester-long intensive English language preparatory programme which will count towards your degree programme.

This programme is designed not only to help you bring your English language level up to B2 and higher, but also to provide a chance to take extra introductory modules on the subjects of your selected study programme at Vilnius Business College.

The curruculum of the AEPP:

  • Academic English Writing 4 ECTS credits
  • Academic English Communication – listening, understanding, public speaking, 4 ECTS Credits
  • English Grammar, 4 ECTS credits.
  • Academic English Vocabulary, 4 ECTS credits.
  • Introduction to English in IT, 4 ECTS.

In addition, students will be able to sit in any offered classes of their choice to test their language improvement and get a better idea of how the learning process is organized at VBC.

English Foundation

SMK offers English Foundation programme for students needing to advance their English language skills, SMK offers English Foundation. The duration of the programme is one or, if needed, two semesters. After completing the programme you will bring your language level to the upper intermediate level which is required to study at SMK. The programme is available every semester starting Fall and Spring and is delivered full time.

Pre-Medical Course

Online Pre-Medical (PreMed) course aims to prepare applicants for undergraduate Medicine, Odontology, Veterinary Medicine, or Pharmacy programmes by offering students general Biology and general Chemistry classes and seminars.

Duration – 10 weeks (29 April 2024– 5 July 2024).

Type – Online distance course.

Entrance requirements:

  • Legalized high school or college certificate and transcript (officially translated into English).
  • Good knowledge of the English language is obligatory.
  • Good grades in Biology and Chemistry would be an advantage.
  • All applicants should apply online and upload the following documents:
  1. Legalized high school or college certificate and transcript (officially translated into English).
  2. Transcripts of high school/ senior secondary school courses.
  3. Certificate proving  the knowledge of the English language:
    TOEFL – minimum 65 points (iBT); IELTS – above 5.5 points; the certificate confirming the knowledge of a foreign language at minimum B2 level (CEFR) or similar.
  4. Brief CV.
  5. Passport or ID copy.
  6. Application fee 150 EUR (nonrefundable).

Tuition fee

Must be paid within 14 days after signing the Study Contract.

The Pre-Med course tuition fee – 2200 EUR.

The tuition fee covers:

  • Online attendance of scheduled classes and seminars led by qualified university teachers;
  • testing of acquired knowledge and skills via final test, according to the teaching plan;
  • the final test is accepted as an entrance test to LSMU. The test consists of multiple-choice tests (MCQ) in Biology and Chemistry based on the programme and is given in English.
