Lithuanian Maritime Academy provides higher maritime education studies in the professional bachelor degree programmes, based on requirements of International Maritime Organisation or on experience of close cooperation with well known European maritime academies and universities.

Port and Shipping Management: graduates can successfully perform in maritime complex and related enterprises as multifunctional manager and major in the fields of intermodal logistics, ship agency, crewing, freight forwarding, stevedoring etc.

Marine Navigation: after acquiring professional bachelor degree diploma and certificate of the competence of Lithuanian or national marine administration, graduates become a Chief officer or later the Master on ships with no limitation applied for tonnage or type of ship standard.

Marine Engineering: afteracquiring professional bachelor degree diploma and certificate of the competence in Lithuanian or national marine administration, graduates become a Marine Engineer, later the Chief Engineer, and maintain engines of on ships with no limitation applied for tonnage or type of ship standard.

Marine Electrical and Electronic Engineering: after acquired professional bachelor degree diploma and certificate of the competence in Lithuanian or national marine administration, graduates become a Marine Electrical engineer and maintain the ships electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, or power generation equipment etc.

LMA study programmes are provided in English and Rusian languages.

Academy‘s lecturers are well experienced seafarers, researchers and educators. Studies are organized in modern classes and laboratories using modern simulators. Seagoing practices are organized on board of ships of the international shipping companies. Future managers perform the practice in national and international maritime business companies in Lithuania or abroad.
