Mustafa Bahadir Gok: “Three words that describe Lithuania the best is GREEN, QUIET and CHEAP.”

Best stories about foreign students’ experiences in Lithuania come from students themselves.

Meet Mustafa Bahadir Gok, Turkish students from Vilnius Business College, who spent ten months as an Erasmus+ exchange student in Lithuania.

“Hi everyone,

I’m Mustafa Bahadir Gok from Turkey. I have studied in Vilnius Business College for ten incredible months as an Erasmus+ exchange student in Lithuania. It was absolutely amazing and one of the best education and social periods I’ve ever experienced in my life. I have met a lot of people from all over the world along the period and every passing day has had a unique story which was filled with a lot of unforgettable people and experiences.

I can honestly say, that I was so nervous before landing in Vilnius therefore I had so many unanswered questions on my mind. But everything has changed when I met Deimante. She always helped me when I had difficulties and made easier to overcome my language barrier. A few weeks later, I realised that I can understand and express my mind much easier. The difficult beginning suddenly have had changed to fun and interesting adventure. I could definitely say, I would regret now if I have picked another country instead of Lithuania.

I have so much to say about Vilnius Business College, it’s so energetic and warm, but most important thing that I would like to mention is that I never ever had an opportunity to work face to face with such amazing lecturers during my university career (it was my 4th school where I was studying since 2006).  All the classes were amazing, but my favourite ones were English, Economics and Psychology. I would like to say a big thank you to the best lecturer I’ve ever seen, Tomas Butvilas,  and I am sure that all students agree with me. He looks like a magician who reads minds 🙂
I attended many different activities, such as camping in the middle of the nature, multicultural events and other gatherings at Vilnius Business College.  During all the activities I met many wonderful people, but I would like to say thank you to my friend, a perfect man from Sri Lanka Novak De Silva. He helped me during my stay in Vilnius and was always there when I had unanswered questions.

In the end I would like to say, that Lithuania is the safest country in Europe. Three words that describes it the best is GREEN, QUIET and CHEAP. There is never enough time to explore it all, but I can easily say that Lithuania has a lot of unique locations and beautiful places. So now it is your time to explore and feel the atmosphere in this wonderful country.”
