Have we met in India?

A good week ago Study in Lithuania team together with representatives from 9 Lithuanian institutions of Higher Education took part in a roadshow of higher education fairs organized by the European Higher Education Fairs (EHEF) in India. During an intensive week we covered New Dheli, Bangalore and Kolkata, where we meet more than 4500 potential students from all over India. Where you among them? Are you finding it easy enough to find all of the relevant details on our site? Even if you have missed us, here is a run-down of the most frequent enquiries from these fairs.

  • Engineering, both Bachelor and Master degree. We have two main technical Universities in Lithuania – Kaunas University of Technology and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. For programmes to do with marine research, also see Klaipeda University. Have a look at their programmes, and contact these institutions directly in order to start your admission process, ask for more details, or if you are interested in PhD research.
  • Degrees in computer engineering and similar programmes. This part is not as easy to answer. Lithuania has a lot of opportunities in IT – see here for programmes available in English.
  • Field of medical research. For programmes in medicine, see Vilnius University and Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, for biotechnology – Vytautas Magnus University. Medicine is the top most popular programme in Lithuania among international students because of unquestionable quality, recognized qualification and good value for your money.
  • In the case of PhD studies, up to 10% of all PhD scholarships given out in Lithuania can be offered to international students. However if you don’t find anything you can apply for, ask University where you want to study – maybe they have specific financial schemes for you!
  • Lithuania. If you are interested to learn more about our country, see this Facebook group which has a lot of high quality photos of our country to make a good impression about what it is like.

All in all, these fairs were a great success. So far we have 232 students from India studying in Lithuania. With 94% of our international students agreeing that they would recommend studies in Lithuania – you can bet you are making a right decision to join them!
