Academic Excellence International Master’s Scholarships 2026/27

The Vilnius Academy of Arts (VDA) is pleased to announce a merit-based scholarship intended to recognise outstanding academic and artistic achievement among international applicants to its Master’s degree programmes.

Financial provisions: The scholarship is awarded in the form of a 50% reduction of the annual tuition fee and is available to five (5) outstanding candidates.

Eligibility: The scholarship is open to international non-EU applicants applying for Master’s degree studies at VDA, regardless of their citizenship or chosen programme of study.

Selection process: Scholarship recipients are selected solely on the basis of the highest admission scores achieved through the VDA admissions process. Successful candidates will be informed of the award after the general application deadline for Master’s degree studies (early July, 2026).

Conditions and criteria:

• The tuition fee reduction is automatically applied for the first year of study;
• For the second year of Master’s degree studies, the 50% tuition fee reduction will be continued provided that, upon completion of the first year, the student has maintained a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 8.0;
• This scholarship is not applicable to students who are in receipt of the Scholarship for Full-time Master’s Degree Studies awarded by the Education Exchanges Support Foundation;
• The scholarship applies exclusively to the tuition fee reduction and does not cover living expenses, accommodation, travel, or any other associated costs.

TUITION-FREE AND PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR BACHELOR’S DEGREE STUDIES AT VILNIUS TECH (ACADEMIC YEAR 2026-2027)

VILNIUS TECH extends a warm invitation to outstanding international students applying for the first year of Bachelor’s degree studies. We offer both tuition-free scholarships and partial scholarships (50% and 25% of the tuition fee) for the academic year 2026-2027.

Tuition-Free Scholarships:

• Eligibility: Best international students applying to the first year of Bachelor’s degree studies at VILNIUS TECH.
• Application Deadline: 20th of April, 2026.
• Selection Criteria:

1. Previous academic achievements and examination results (minimum 80% of the maximum grade).
2. Motivation letter highlighting personal qualities, assets, liabilities, significant achievements, and goals at VILNIUS TECH (1000-4000 symbols).
3. 2 References or letters of recommendation from teachers (academic).
4. Knowledge of English language (minimum level B2).
5. Extracurricular activities related to the chosen program at VILNIUS TECH.

Partial Scholarships:

• Eligibility: International students applying to the first year of Bachelor’s degree studies at VILNIUS TECH.
• Application Deadline: 20th of April, 2026.
• Selection Criteria:

2. Motivation letter highlighting personal qualities, assets, liabilities, significant achievements, and goals at VILNIUS TECH (1000-4000 symbols).

Additional Points:

• Applicants who completed high school in the last three years will receive an additional point.
• Scholarships are awarded for four years of studies if the student has no academic debts.

Important Note: Incomplete applications or those without an application fee payment will not be considered for a scholarship. Applications submitted after 20th of April, 2026 or without proper registration will not be considered for a scholarship at VILNIUS TECH.

Ukrainians applying to the first year of a Bachelor degree must submit their application directly to VILNIUS TECH online for a paid study place with a 40% tuition fee discount (covered by VILNIUS TECH) until 1st of August, 2026.

Tuition discount for Ukrainian citizens applying for full-time BA or MA studies in 2026

Type of scholarship: tuition fee discount for Ukrainian citizens not eligible for a state-funded place at the Vilnius Academy of Arts (a 50% discount off of study tuition for the entire study period of full-time Bachelor´s or Master’s degree study programmes offered in the academic year 2026/2027).

Scholarships for citizens of Kazakhstan

Who can apply: applicants for Bachelor or Master degree studies who are citizens of Kazakhstan.

Financial provisions: full tuition fee coverage for the whole study period.

Criteria:
– excellent academic results from previous education
– English language proficiency (at least B2 level)
– 1 recommendation letter from teacher who is well aware of candidate’s academic excellence
– statement from the Center for International Programs or from Bolashaq Development Fund that a candidate is pre-selected for scholarship

MRU Tuition fee waiver for Bachelor degree studies

Who can apply: applicants for Bachelor degree studies who are citizens or permanent residents of Ukraine (5 grants), Republic of South Africa / Zimbabwe / Ghana / Kenya (2 grants), Colombia / Brazil / Venezuela / Mexico (2 grants), Taiwan / Thailand / Philippines / Mongolia / Indonesia (3 grants), Sakartvelo (Georgia) / Moldova (1 grant), Uzbekistan / Tajikistan (1 grant).

Financial provisions: scholarship covers the full tuition fee for the whole period of Bachelor degree studies* for students accepted in the academic year 2026-2027, if they have no academic debts.

Criteria:

1. Candidates are selected based on their grade point average (GPA) and English proficiency level.
2. The GPA must be at least 8.5, and the English proficiency level must be at least B2.
3. Candidates with an English proficiency level of C1 or higher receive an additional 0.5 points added to their GPA.
4. Applicants for studies in the Lithuanian language receive an additional 1 point.
5. If multiple candidates achieve the same score, preference is given to those applying to programs with fewer eligible candidates for Tuition fee waiver.
6. If three or more top-scoring candidates (from any country) apply for the same program, preference is given to those with slightly lower scores applying to programs with fewer eligible candidates for Tuition fee waiver. In this case, their score may be up to 0.5 points lower than the last of the top-ranked candidates.
7. If there is only one eligible candidate from a specific country, they are selected regardless of whether their chosen program has five or more eligible candidates, and the above rule does not apply.

Scholarships for Full-Time Master Degree Studies

Call for applications for Full-Time Master’s Degree or Integrated Studies at Lithuanian higher education institutions is CLOSED!

Education Exchanges Support Foundation is opening a Call for applications for Lithuanian state scholarships for full-time Master’s degree or integrated studies (a maximum of the two last years of the integrated studies) at Lithuanian higher education institutions for the year 2025.

Funding under the Call will be provided to the citizens of Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China (People’s Republic of China and Taiwan), Georgia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, New Zealand, South Korea, Ukraine, The United States of America, Uzbekistan and foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin of non-EU and non-EFTA countries, 70 grants in total (monthly scholarships and grants covering the study cost), ensuring quotas for citizens of the following countries:

• Ukraine (20 grants);
• Foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin of non-EU and non-EFTA countries (5 grants).

No more than 10 grants are allocated to citizens from any other country, except for citizens of Ukraine and foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin.

A monthly scholarship is equal to 560 EUR. The grant covering the study cost is limited to and cannot be higher than the national standard study cost.

Scholarships for Lithuanian Short-Term Studies

The call for applications for 2025-2026 Short-Term Lithuanian studies at Lithuanian higher education institutions is now CLOSED!

Type of scholarship: : short-term (1-2 semesters, max. 10 months) Lithuanian studies in the 2025-2026 academic year.

Number of scholarships:

• For foreigners (except citizens of Russia and Belarus) and Lithuanians from abroad as well as foreigners of Lithuanian origin from all countries: 15
• For students, lecturers and researchers of centres of Lithuanian (Baltic) studies (except citizens of Russia and Belarus): 30*

* The number of candidates from one centre is not limited.

Scholarships for international applicants

Kaunas University of Technology offers full or partial tuition fee waiver for candidates with outstanding results depending on their chosen study programme.

Awarded to students with

• strong academic record
• motivation.

These scholarships are open to all international applicants.

All perspective students who submitted their application through University’s application system (https://apply.ktu.edu/) will automatically become candidates to receive scholarship.

The application for full tuition fee waivers closes together with the latest deadline of application for studies, 30 June 2023. The receivers of the scholarship will be announced latest in the middle of July. We will contact those who receive the scholarships individually.
