Aim
The BA study programme of Applied graphics is to prepare wide-range graphic art specialists by giving them theoretical knowledge of art and practical speciality skills in areas of various classical and modern graphic technologies, social and conceptual graphic art.
Profile
The core of the study programme is to emphasize social aspects through combination of artistic graphic expression and content in areas of calligraphy, typography, artistic poster, art of book, individual illustration. One of the main fields of the programme is stamping graphics. It integrates different forms of graphic art and ways of plastic expression. Students get skills of classical graphic techniques. They are also encouraged to creatively experiment and discover non-traditional, personal impress creation methods. Students also gain skills of digital graphics and photography, which are integrated in other speciality subjects. They get acquainted with possibilities offered by classical means and modern media synthesis, search for unique personal style and distinctive approach when executing general topic tasks. The programme of Applied graphics is distinguished by the prevailing aspect of applicability and versatility.
Occupational profiles of graduates with examples
Graduates of the programme participate in art exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad by implementing interdisciplinary creative projects, are able to work professionally in areas of publishing, visual communication, illustration, artistic poster and other creative industries.
