What to do at home during the quarantine?

Are you, like us, quarantined at home?

Are you, like us, wondering how to not lose your sanity and keep yourself occupied during this time?

We have compiled a short list of things to do online, which will hopefully keep your mind and energy away from the pandemic.

That being said we encourage you to stay inside, unless it is absolutely crucial to leave your house, and to try the following activities:

Have you visited the impressive exhibition “The Origin of Species: 1990s DNA” at the MO Museum in Vilnius? The exhibition is now over, but you can still (thanks to the pandemic!) visit it HERE.

How about traveling back in time and seeing Lithuania from the birds’ viewpoint? Luftwaffe intelligence has made a number of flights above territory that is now Lithuania, during World War II. This is how Lithuanian landscape of the mid-twentieth century was recorded into history. You can view it at “Flight over Lithuania 1944-1945“ virtual exhibition HERE.

Speaking of virtual exhibitions, Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania offers quite a few of them free of charge HERE.

Likewise, the “Museums of Lithuania” webpage offers many virtual exhibitions and museum tours HERE.

Tired of Lithuania yet?

The British Museum is offering its’ own virtual tour around world history HERE.

Likewise, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City is open daily (no time restrictions!) for everyone worldwide HERE.

And that is not all!

Once your museumgoer bug is scratched, you can view carefully curated recent cinema masterpieces (for a low price), as the annual Vilnius Film Festival went digital.

And/or view TED talks speeches HERE.

…and you might as well take a FREE Ivy League course online HERE!

Ever wanted to learn basic coding? You can do so now HERE.

Ever wanted to produce music? Moog & Korg make synth apps free during this time!

And at the end of the day, if you want to rest from all activities and would like to kick back and enjoy some live music… various celebrities are holding concerts on Instagram!

So we encourage everyone not to complain about the self-isolation and enjoy the time these unfortunate circumstances granted us.

Stay home. Stay healthy. Stay safe. Wash your hands. In fact, take frequent showers and wash your clothes as well.

And once again… this is not a joke! STAY HOME!

Any other fun and free of charge activities you found online? Share the links in the comment section on Facebook!
